Spring has sprung! The trees and flowers are budding and the grass is starting to turn green. I know that the children are excited about going outside and playing in the warm sunshine. Please make sure that we have sunscreen on-hand for outdoor play. Old sunscreen should be thrown away and replaced with new.

Please make sure that you have turned in your child’s progress report, the center evaluation and registration information for summer &/or fall. If you are on a semester to semester contract you will have two sets of forms to fill out, one for summer and one for fall. Progress reports and evaluations are due by April 4 and registration information is due by April 11. Please see Dawn or Joscelyne if you have any questions.

The Preschool 2 Graduation and Center wide luncheon is on Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Milo Bail Student Center Ballroom. Everyone is invited to attend. A shuttle bus will be provided to take the children and the families from the child care center to the student center beginning at 10:15 a.m. and returning back to the center beginning at 12:00 noon. All children will be attending the graduation and lunch. If you will be dropping off your child after 10:30 a.m. or picking them up before 12:30 p.m. you will either need to bring them to or pick them up from the student center’s ballroom. We hope that you can join us and have lunch with your child.

The Week of the Young Child kick of event sponsored by the Omaha Association for the Education of Young Children is on Saturday, April 12, 2008 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Zorinsky Center and Park located at 156th & F Streets. This year the Week of the Young Child runs from April 13-19, 2008. This week is set aside every year to promote quality child care for all children. We hope you can join us for some fun activities. The UNO Child Care Center will be hosting an activity table. Please watch for a flyer with more information.
